Quality Gothic Filmmaking

Some of the most interesting and profitable films coming out of Asia in the past two decades have showcased the Gothic and horror genres. Recent Asian directors and other filmmakers have virtually revolutionized the classic horror styles. Their films have become widely admired and copied in the west, including the U.S., as well as by their fellow Asian nations. The film industries in one Asian country after another are quickly creating a wealth of new dark film techniques, stories, skills and traditions.

Joining this trend, Gothic Productions International seeks to expand the number and quality of Gothic films emerging from these creative wellsprings. We also want to increase the market for these films in Asia, Australia, Europe, the U.S. and beyond. Never before have Gothic and horror stories on film been so popular all over the world. Globalization has indeed reached this exciting, dark world of creativity and produced new genius and talent in almost all nations.

We want to produce quality independent Gothic and horror films, as well as encouraging others to do the same. Our talented and professional production team is working on new projects and also developing markets and marketing strategies for these types of films in Asia and elsewhere.

Not only are horror films an opportunity for applying great talent to the movie world, but nowadays, they're making a lot of money too! Hollywood is producing a greater number of Gothic and horror films because more people want to see them than ever before. Talent and quality in these films can produce great yields at the box office, just as it does in other types of filmmaking. Gone are the days when "horror flicks" were looked down on and relegated to the "midnight movie" groups of small but dedicated cult  fans. People are seeing and wanting these types of films in ever greater numbers now, and not just at midnight. No one nowadays can doubt that Gothic and horror stories totally permeate the mainstream of modern filmmaking.

GPI Just Finished Shooting Latest Film, Darkest Night

Gothic productions International is proud to announce that we just finished shooting our latest horror film, Darkest Night in Pampanga province, in the Philippines. Most of the shooting was done in and around a perfectly suited house in the rustic community of Floridablanca. The director, Noel Tan, along with cast and crew, wrapped up shooting on May 12.

The film is now in post production with Massifx Pro in Manila, whose excellent staff is doing the visual effects and editing. The film's premiere is scheduled for November or December 2011.
